- the list of what there was: blue eggs from Millport Dairy Farm free-range Americauna chickens; husk cherries from Oak Grove Plantation that were there because I had forgotten to add them to the small second helpings of pasta served the night before; beautiful red watercress from Max Creek Hatchery; lightly-toasted slices of a rich, moist She Wolf Bakery polenta sourdough boule; micro red chard from Two Guys from Woodbridge; and, on the eggs, Maldon salt, freshly-ground black pepper, chopped fresh habanada pepper from Alewife Farm, fresh chopped dill from Alex’s Tomato Farm in the Saturday Chelsea’s Down to Earth Farmers Market on West 23rd Street, and dry fenugreek (I love fenugreek) from Bombay Emerald Chutney Company, also at the Saturday Farmers Market
- the music was Messiaen’s ‘Catalogue d’oiseaux’, performed by Jocy de Oliveira
