{"id":9484,"date":"2016-09-04T20:01:49","date_gmt":"2016-09-04T20:01:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=9484"},"modified":"2016-09-04T20:01:49","modified_gmt":"2016-09-04T20:01:49","slug":"fried-eggs-and-then-some-i-cannot-just-leave-them-naked","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=9484","title":{"rendered":"fried eggs and then some (I cannot just leave them naked)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9485\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/fried_egg_pie.jpg\" alt=\"fried_egg_pie\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Aside from the fact that it looks like fried egg <em>pie<\/em>, this isn&#8217;t what most people think of when they think, &#8216;fried eggs&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>I just can&#8217;t leave fried eggs alone, and this morning I had an extra incentive for going a little further than even I normally do, having realized at the last minute that I didn&#8217;t have any bacon to accompany our Sunday breakfast\/lunch.<\/p>\n<p>The eggs looked &#8211; and tasted &#8211; so good, I forgot to add my latest favorite condiment, a\u00a0terrific locally-made\u00a0middle-eastern-style seasoning blend,\u00a0\u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyshuk.com\/shop\/lekama\">L\u2019eKama<\/a>\u2018.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the eggs were from Millport Dairy Farm, and, other than the salt and pepper, everything else was from a tub of herbs and spices not used in very recent meals (already washed and sometimes cut) which I keep in a tub in the refrigerator: the\u00a0thin scallion stems from Race Farm, the finely-chopped portion\u00a0of a small red Calabrian pepper from Campo Rosso Farm, the herbs from various Greenmarket farmers<\/li>\n<li>the bread was some very-lightly-toasted slices of &#8216;Sesamo&#8217;, from Sullivan Bakery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aside from the fact that it looks like fried egg pie, this isn&#8217;t what most people think of when they think, &#8216;fried eggs&#8217;.
