kale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7809\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/swordfish_oregano_radish_greens_kale.jpg\" alt=\"swordfish_oregano_radish_greens_kale\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This was actually a very simple meal, put on the table\u00a0very\u00a0quickly, even allowing for some time\u00a0with an incredibly minimal marinade.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>two \u00a0very fresh inch-and-a-quarter-thick swordfish steaks (off of the F\/V Bookie, out of the Hamptons)\u00a0from Blue Moon Seafood in the Union Square Greenmarket, marinated for less than a half hour\u00a0in a mixture of olive oil and fresh oregano from Stokes Farm (the last of a bunch which\u00a0I had been able to keep fresh in the refrigerator since last fall), then drained well,\u00a0covered with a coating of dried homemade bread crumbs, pan-fried over medium-high heat \u00a0for 4\u00a0to\u00a05 minutes on each side, removed, salted, sprinkled with a little lemon juice and some colorful \u00a0\u2018Hong Vit\u2018 micro Asian purple radish greens from Windfall Farms, fish and &#8216;greens&#8217; finished with a drizzle of olive oil before serving<\/li>\n<li>kale from Alewife Farm,\u00a0saut\u00e9ed in olive oil in which 2 small\u00a0cloves of garlic from Whole Foods\u00a0had first been allowed to sweat and begin to brown, seasoned with salt, pepper, and a dash of more olive oil<\/li>\n<li>the wine was an Italian (Sicily) white,\u00a0<span class=\"s2\"><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.manoavino.com\/2012\/11\/insolia-the-great-white-wine-grape-of-sicily.html\">Corvo Insolia 2013<\/a>,<\/b><\/span>\u00a0from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/philippe-wine-and-liquor-new-york\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>Philippe Wine<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in Chelsea, located\u00a0about 50 yards from our front door, and therefore sort of &#8216;local&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>the music was the entire album. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkivmusic.com\/albumpage\/699934-e946-5\">&#8216;Frederick The Great &#8211; Music For The Berlin Court&#8217;<\/a>, performed by the\u00a0Academy for Ancient Music Berlin (only moments before we had finally determined the exact dates of our May and June idyll in Berlin, <em>der Hauptstadt des alten Fritz.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We enjoyed a simple and leisurely cheese course, with thin slices of a Balthazar rye boule, and the remainder of the wine.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the\u00a0music was from a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkivmusic.com\/classical\/album.jsp?album_id=101139\">beautiful album of works by\u00a0Johann Gottlieb Graun<\/a> (1702\u20131771), a Brandenburg-born composer appointed to the court of the\u00a0young Prussian prince years before Frederick became king, where he remained throughout his reign, as concertmaster, chamber musician, and director of the strings of the royal opera orchestra;
