Later there will be a small half shank leg of lamb, roasted, served with some sympathetic vegetables. There will be nothing betwixt. The image above should help to explain why.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know what to call this dish, which is something of\u00a0a hodgepodge. Because it is that, and because it will still be that the next time I do something like it, I won&#8217;t describe how it was put together. I probably couldn&#8217;t anyway, but, if it helps, I will\u00a0say that\u00a0I cooked it in a preheated 375\u00ba oven for about 10\u00a0or 15 minutes (or until the whites had become opaque).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ingredients were, in order of their appearance in a small-ish ceramic oven dish: a little butter; a generous number of halved Backyard Farms Maine \u2018cocktail tomatoes\u2019 from Whole Foods; some wilted\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnnyseeds.com\/p-7311-shunkyo-semi-long.aspx\">Shunkyo radish<\/a> greens from Lani\u2019s Farm; quartered thin slices of a hard, smokey paprika sausage whose identity I\u00a0can no longer supply;\u00a0finely-chopped wild garlic from Lani&#8217;s Farm; 8 eggs from Millport Dairy; salt;\u00a0pepper; dabs from a small jar of an aromatic seasoning blend with the name, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyshuk.com\/shop\/lekama\">L\u2019eKama<\/a>,\u00a0on top of\u00a0the eggs once the portions were on plates; and\u00a0a little chopped lovage from Two Guys from Woodbridge scattered over all<\/li>\n<li>the music, played on the highest holy day of the Christian church, was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naxos.com\/catalogue\/item.asp?item_code=8.226058\">Heinrich Schutz, &#8216;<em>Die Auferstehung unsres Herren Jesu Christi<\/em>&#8216;<\/a>, performed by the\u00a0Hilliard Ensemble; for what it&#8217;s worth, it was succeeded by a James Levine\/Bayreuth recording of &#8216;Parsifal&#8217;, which\u00a0is\u00a0likely to be completed before the second, and last, meal of the day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>there will be a total of only two meals today &nbsp; We finished the first meal of the day at 2:30.
