Seafood, along with their cooking juices\u00a0(the clams had been steamed open with a little water in a separate pot), the entire mix\u00a0sprinkled\u00a0with a bunch of parsley from Eataly, chopped, then served in shallow bowls<\/span><\/li>\n<li>slices of excellent\u00a0sourdough bread from <a href=\"http:\/\/newyork.seriouseats.com\/2013\/05\/good-bread-rock-hill-bakehouse.html\">Rock Hill Bakehouse<\/a>, in Gansevoort, NY, which is\u00a0sold on Saturdays\u00a0at the Union Square Greenmarket<\/li>\n<li>the wine was an Italian (Sicily) white, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.duca.it\/en\/vino-corvo\/corvo-bianco\/\">Corvo Insolia<\/a> 2014<\/li>\n<li>the music was a number of classical-era\u00a0symphonies by contemporaries of Haydn and Mozart; all of these works area seriously underappreciated today, <a href=\"https:\/\/play.spotify.com\/album\/5cQVi84XZIO5qSvuY0JjFZ?play=true&amp;utm_source=open.spotify.com&amp;utm_medium=open\">Gossec, Vanhal, Manhaut, and Kraus, performed by <em>Capella Coloniensis<\/em><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(it looks a bit askew, but I wanted to save the piece of parsley) &nbsp; I really love this dish, and please don&#8217;t tell the Italians, but nothing else works as well as a sort of mental &#8216;palate cleanser&#8217; following a\u00a0day or a sequence of days which had featured\u00a0fairly rich meals.
