cauliflower; radishes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/pollock_cauliflower_radishes.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6602\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/pollock_cauliflower_radishes.jpg\" alt=\"pollock_cauliflower_radishes\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yes. \u00a0And colorful.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>two 8-ounce pollock fillets from American Pride Seafood in the Union Square Greenmarket, seasoned with salt and pepper and placed in a buttered baking dish, spread with a mixture of soft butter, zest from what may have been a Frost\u00a0Lisbon Lemon, grown locally by Fantastic Gardens of Long Island, and scissored\u00a0whole baby chive plants from Rogowski Farm, baked 12 to 15 minutes at 350\u00ba, removed to plates and spread with the cooking juices and sprinkled with a small number of salted capers which had been rinsed, drained, dried, before being briefly\u00a0heated in a little hot olive oil<\/li>\n<li>a handful of golden radishes from Lani\u2019s Farm,\u00a0roasted at 400\u00ba for about 20\u00a0minutes on a small ceramic oven\u00a0pan with branches of thyme from\u00a0Stokes Farm, then sprinkled with more thyme, now chopped<\/li>\n<li>two quite small purple (lilac?) cauliflower heads from\u00a0from Van Houtem Farms, cored, the florets separated from each other, tossed with olive oil, salt, and pepper, spread on another ceramic pan and roasted in\u00a0the same hot\u00a0oven, for barely 15 minutes, since\u00a0they were so tender, then finished with chopped parsley from Whole Foods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/cauliflower_purple.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6634\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/cauliflower_purple.jpg\" alt=\"cauliflower_purple\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the wine was a California white, <a href=\"https:\/\/us.nakedwines.com\/wines\/david-akiyoshi-reserve-chardonnay-2014.htm\">David Akiyoshi Chardonnay Clarksburg 2014<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/us.nakedwines.com\/winemakers\/david-akiyoshi.htm\">from Naked Wines<\/a><\/li>\n<li>the music was, early in the meal, Schubert&#8217;s &#8216;Trout Quintette&#8217;, streaming from Yle Klassinen as,\u00a0<em>Schubert: Forellikvintetto (Emanuel Ax, piano, Guarneri-kvartetti, sek\u00e4 Julius Levine, kontrabasso),\u00a0<\/em>followed by a Moscow Studio Archives recording of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Schnittke-Concerto-Grosso-No-Cello\/dp\/B0001EFTII\">Alfred Schnittke&#8217;s &#8216;Concerto Grosso No. 1 \/ Cello Concerto No. 1&#8217;<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes. \u00a0And colorful. &nbsp;
