{"id":6276,"date":"2015-12-04T07:11:00","date_gmt":"2015-12-04T07:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=6276"},"modified":"2015-12-04T07:11:00","modified_gmt":"2015-12-04T07:11:00","slug":"pappardelle-mushrooms-ricotta-walnuts-thyme-honey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=6276","title":{"rendered":"pappardelle, mushrooms, ricotta, walnuts, thyme, honey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/pappardelle_mushrooms_ricotta_walnuts.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6279\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/pappardelle_mushrooms_ricotta_walnuts.jpg\" alt=\"pappardelle_mushrooms_ricotta_walnuts\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>probably needs no argument<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The recipe came from <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Saveur\">Saveur<\/a>, which I find never seems to come\u00a0up with a dud, but it was\u00a0<a class=\"ProfileCard-screennameLink u-linkComplex js-nav\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/onekade\" data-aria-label-part=\"\">@<span class=\"u-linkComplex-target\">onekade<\/span><\/a>\u00a0who clued me into it, with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/onekade\/status\/664523937607479296\">this\u00a0tweet<\/a> from\u00a0a few weeks back.<\/p>\n<p>It sounded terrific, it looked terrific, and it was terrific. \u00a0It was also very easy to put together. \u00a0If you have access to some good mushrooms,\u00a0there is absolutely no reason not to make this\u00a0special\u00a0dinner.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>this is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.saveur.com\/article\/recipes\/pappardelle-with-mixed-mushrooms-ricotta-and-walnuts\">the\u00a0recipe<\/a>,\u00a0which I halved. \u00a0By the\u00a0way, the honey was described as optional, but I\u00a0would seriously\u00a0recommend using it. \u00a0My ingredients included a rich (12% fat) unsalted butter, Kerrygold Pure Irish, from Westside Market; a mix of shiitake and cremini mushrooms from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ediblemanhattan.com\/magazine\/the_masters_of_mycelium\/\">Bulich Mushroom Farm<\/a>;\u00a0thyme from Hawthorne Valley Farm; Rocambole Calabria garlic\u00a0from Keith\u2019s Farm; \u00a0 9 ounces of a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.anticamadia.com\/pastificio\/\">L\u2019antica Madia<\/a> pappardelle from Eataly; a local artisanal ricotta,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/liuzziangelonicheese.com\/\">Liuzzi Angelini<\/a>, also from Eataly; shelled walnuts from I no longer remember where; and some extraordinarily rich\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.applestatehilltopfamilyfarm.com\/\">Apple State Hilltop Family Farm<\/a> pure <a href=\"http:\/\/applestatehilltopfamilyfarm.com\/store\/gifts-and-honey\/buckwheat-honey\/\">buckwheat\u00a0honey<\/a>\u00a0(a perfect cooking honey), which I believe I had purchased some time back in the Greenmarket<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>the wine was an Italian (Langhe) red, a very special\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/02\/04\/dining\/wine-school-langhe-nebbiolo.html?_r=0\">Langhe Nebbiolo<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chelseawinevault.com\/all\/produttori-del-barbaresco-nebbiolo-langhe-2013\">Produttori del Barbaresco Langhe Nebbiolo\u00a02013<\/a><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>the music was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkivmusic.com\/classical\/Drilldown?name_id=11179&amp;name_role=1&amp;comp_id=2757\">Sibelius Symphony No. 5, performed by Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic<\/a><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>probably needs no argument &nbsp; The recipe came from Saveur, which I find never seems to come\u00a0up with a dud, but it was\u00a0@onekade\u00a0who clued me into it, with\u00a0this\u00a0tweet from\u00a0a few weeks back.
