{"id":5676,"date":"2015-10-15T16:29:05","date_gmt":"2015-10-15T16:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=5676"},"modified":"2015-10-15T16:29:05","modified_gmt":"2015-10-15T16:29:05","slug":"roasted-squid-with-oregano-chile-roasted-treviso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=5676","title":{"rendered":"roasted squid with oregano, chile; roasted treviso"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/roast_squid_roasted_treviso.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5677\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/roast_squid_roasted_treviso.jpg\" alt=\"roast_squid_roasted_treviso\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>a wonderful pairing, even before the wine was poured<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The meal was a treat, and had I not purchased all the ingredients myself, I might have had a hard time\u00a0believing\u00a0that all ingredients together probably\u00a0set me\u00a0back only 11 or 12 dollars,\u00a0and that&#8217;s for two people! \u00a0Even considering that it was a dinner prepared at home, the figure is pretty incredible, although absolutely verifiable. \u00a0The squid\u00a0cost $6.50 (and had I wanted to clean them myself, it would have been\u00a0only about $3.25), the treviso\u00a0was\u00a0less than half that, and the\u00a0oil, lemon, balsamic vinegar, dried oregano, dried chile, salt, and pepper just might\u00a0have\u00a0brought the total up to the figure I mentioned above.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the reasons why we can afford to eat out in New York, at least <em>once in a blue moon<\/em>.
