Madura Farm, heated in a large non-reactive pot with olive oil over medium heat until fragrant, about one\u00a0quarter of a cup of roughly-torn\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gothamgreens.com\/our-produce\/basil\">Gotham Greens Brooklyn rooftop basil<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0Whole Foods\u00a0added, the drained pasta introduced to the pan, along with a little over a\u00a0pound of multi-colored heirloom and orange and red cherry tomatoes [also heirloom?] from Norwich Meadows Farm (diced as\u00a0fairly large pieces), freshly-ground pepper, one\u00a0small, crushed dry peperoncino, the mix\u00a0stirred briefly over very low heat with some of the reserved pasta cooking liquid until\u00a0it\u00a0had\u00a0emulsified, then\u00a0blended with another quarter of a cup of basil\u00a0and\u00a0some fresh fennel seeds from Lani&#8217;s Farm, once\u00a0the pot was removed from the range<\/li>\n<li>the wine was an Italian (Sardinia) white,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sellaemosca.it\/en\/legal.php?r=\/en\/vini_radici_sarde.php?id_sub=17&amp;id_art=382\">La Cala Vermentino di Sardegna 2013<\/a><\/li>\n<li>the music was <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Symphony_No._8_(Bruckner)\">Anton Bruckner&#8217;s Symphony No. 8<\/a>, performed by <a href=\"http:\/\/nyphil.org\/watch-listen\/audio\/buy-recordings\/1415\/bruckners-eighth-symphony\">the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Alan Gilbert\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; More than just a vehicle for some wonderful late-season tomatoes, this simple pasta dish paraded every one of its ingredients.
