(the filling is generally slightly sweet), were displayed in the fresh pasta glass\u00a0case\u00a0at Eataly when I stopped by on Friday to tell <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pastaioluca.com\/#intro\">Luca<\/a> how much we had appreciated <a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/2015\/08\/21\/ricotta-gnocchi-with-eggplant-tomato-basil\/\">his wonderful gnocchi<\/a> the night before.\u00a0 I already had plans for dinner that evening, but I decided I&#8217;d come back for them the next day.<\/p>\n<p>I did, and we\u00a0were not disappointed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>casoncelli alla bergamesca<\/em>\u00a0[filled pasta in the tradition of Bergamo] from Eataly (ingredients: durum wheat, eggs, &#8216;oo&#8217; flour, pears, prosciutto, hot capocola, walnut, breadcrumbs, parsley , butter, and sage), stirred into a pan where\u00a0ramp fruit from Berried Treasures had been warmed in a little butter, then some additional butter added, along with\u00a0freshly-ground black pepper [an alternative sauce would be <em>al burro e salvia<\/em>, or, as per Luca&#8217;s suggestion to me, flavoring\u00a0the butter with\u00a0a bit of\u00a0<em>Gorgonzola Dolce<\/em>]<\/li>\n<li>the wine with the pasta was an Italian (Veneto) white, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cellartracker.com\/wine.asp?iWine=2170066\">Boir\u00e1 Veneto Pinot Grigio 2014<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/tomato_salad_lovage1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5105\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/tomato_salad_lovage1.jpg\" alt=\"tomato_salad_lovage\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although\u00a0<em>primi<\/em>, before the <em>primi<\/em> (which in this case had no <em>secondo<\/em>), we enjoyed a simple salad of tomatoes and herbs.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>deep golden\/red cherry tomatoes from Berried Treasures, halved, then tossed with chopped lovage from Berried Treasures, parsley\u00a0from\u00a0Tamarack Hollow Farm, some good olive oil, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, proper Malden sea salt, and pink peppercorns, arranged in bowls on a bed of very flavorful organic arugula\u00a0from Norwich Meadows Farm<\/li>\n<li>slices of\u00a0\u2018Rustic Classic\u2019 bread from Eataly<\/li>\n<li>the wine with the tomato was French (Provence) ros\u00e9, with the humble, and quite serviceable description, &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/buyingguide.winemag.com\/catalog\/chateau-rouet-2014-vrac-rose-cotes\">Vrac Ros\u00e9 2014<\/a>&#8216;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>the music throughout the meal was a [may I say &#8216;splendid&#8217;
