height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were four people around the table tonight in the gallery two steps above the living room. \u00a0The light available was a little\u00a0dimmer even than that of the already somewhat\u00a0underlit breakfast room where we normally sit. \u00a0These two pictures are therefore even less crisp than most of those that appear here, but I think that they still\u00a0give some indication of\u00a0how delicious these rather minimal courses actually were, even if I did forget to include the 1 1\/2 cups of heavy cream in the pasta mix (moral: never rush even the simplest of recipes).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>thinly-sliced <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Trentino-Alto_Adige\/S%C3%BCdtirol\">Alto Adige\/S\u00fcdtirol<\/a> Speck from Eataly, drizzled with Lamparelli olive oil from Buon Italia<\/li>\n<li>arugula from from Migliorelli Farm, dressed with the same oil, drops of lemon juice, salt, and pepper<\/li>\n<li>slices of \u2018Rustico Classico\u201d from Eataly<\/li>\n<li>the wine was an Italian white from the Marche,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.saladinipilastri.it\/en\/vini_bianchi.php\">Falerio dei Colli Ascolan 2013<\/a>, from Saladini Pilastri<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pasta_cauliflower_spicy_pinkDSCN0973.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2570\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/pasta_cauliflower_spicy_pinkDSCN0973.jpg\" alt=\"pasta_cauliflower_spicy_pinkDSCN0973\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>pasta shells,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.granoarmando.it\/I-prodotti?lang=en\">Grano Armando\u00a0Lumache<\/a>\u00a0from Compania, via Eataly, boiled for a few minutes with chunks of cauliflower from Sycamore Farms, drained, then tossed in a large bowl with\u00a0San Marzano canned tomatoes, roughly-grated pecorino and fontina, a bit of\u00a0ricotta, a little more than half of a chopped jalape\u00f1o pepper from Paffenroth Gardens, a teaspoon of dried red pepper flakes, the\u00a0mix\u00a0arranged in an enameled cast iron pan with the top dotted with butter, and finally put into a hot oven for 25 minutes or so (the recipe is from &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.saveur.com\/article\/Kitchen\/Back-of-the-Bookshelf-Cucina-Simpatica\">Cucina Simpatica<\/a>&#8220;, here minus the 1 1\/2 cups of heavy cream I forgot to add to the\u00a0bowl)<\/li>\n<li>the wine was\u00a0a Sicilian white,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #772124;\" href=\"http:\/\/frederickwildman.com\/national\/wine\/tenuta-rapitala\/piano-maltese-terre-siciliane-igt\/2013\">Tenuta Rapital\u00e0\u00a0Terre Siciliane Piano Maltese 2012<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The desert was Ciao Bello Dark Chocolate Gelato, topped with shavings of candied ginger (sorry, I forgot to take
