Like Bach, I try to vary the preparation, the seasonings, condiments, and the accompaniments. \u00a0Today I sprinkled fried eggs with cut wild wood sorrel, and I served\u00a0minutina, cut minimally, on the side.<\/p>\n<p>My apologies for the sorrel missing in the picture above; I snapped it quickly and\u00a0we started eating before I realized\u00a0my mistake. \u00a0This is a detail of the serving,\u00a0taken after I finally added the beautiful herb:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/wood_sorrel_on_eggs.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2382\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/wood_sorrel_on_eggs.jpg\" alt=\"wood_sorrel_on_eggs\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>very fresh eggs from Norwich Meadows Farm, gently fried in olive oil and butter, seasoned with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.maldonsalt.co.uk\/\">Maldon<\/a>\u00a0sea salt (our table salt and my\u00a0normal finishing salt) and freshly-ground\u00a0tellicherry pepper<\/li>\n<li>minutina from Bodhitree Farm,\u00a0simply washed, dried, then drizzled with good olive oil and seasoned with the same salt and pepper<\/li>\n<li>slices of the\u00a0Bronx bakery Il Forni&#8217;s\u00a0\u2018Pane di Sesamo&#8217;, from West Side Market, toasted\u00a0to accompany the eggs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is probably the first time breakfast has appeared on this site, even if today it also served as lunch, but this one was pretty super.
