This is not always the case on Sunday mornings. Yay me.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>joining the eggs, which were from the pastured hens at Millport Dairy Farm and here dusted with freshly ground black pepper, sea salt, a pinch of crushed dried red <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Espelette_pepper\">Espelette pepper<\/a> (a French basque variety that has largely replaced\u00a0black pepper there over the last 4 or 5 centuries) from <a href=\"https:\/\/hv-harvest.com\/Farms\/alewife-farm\/\">Alewife Farm<\/a>, and some dried Sicilian fennel pollen from Buon Italia in the Chelsea Market, was 4 thick slices of bacon from pastured pigs, also at Millport Dairy Farm; 3 halved Backyard Farms Maine \u2018cocktail tomatoes\u2019 from Chelsea Whole Foods Market that were warmed in a little bit of some very good <a href=\"http:\/\/ourkosherkitchen.blogspot.com\/2012\/01\/healthy-olive-oil.html\">Trader unfiltered Joe&#8217;s Italian Reserve extra virgin olive oil<\/a> and scattered with one small chopped Norwich Meadows Farm scallion and a little home grown basil from Barry\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artsy.net\/\">Artsy<\/a> colleague Becca; local (regional)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.organicvalley.coop\/products\/butter\/pasture-butter\/\">Organic Valley \u2018Cultured Pasture Butter\u2019<\/a>,\u00a0also from Whole Foods Market, on a small plate to the side, for the toast; micro red mustard; lightly toasted slices from a loaf of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandaisybakery.com\/bakeryblog\/about-pane-pugliese\">Gran Daisy Pugliese<\/a> bread from Foragers Market<\/li>\n<li>the music was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harmoniamundi.com\/#!\/albums\/1480\">Marc-Antoine Charpentier&#8217;s 1670\u00a0 &#8216;Le\u00e7ons du Vendredy Sainct&#8217; (Passages for Ash Wednesday), Ren\u00e9 Jacobs conducting Concerto Vocale<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The most significant thing about this breakfast is that I managed to get 6 eggs to the table with every yolk intact.
