{"id":1889,"date":"2014-08-08T05:08:23","date_gmt":"2014-08-08T05:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=1889"},"modified":"2014-08-08T05:08:23","modified_gmt":"2014-08-08T05:08:23","slug":"pimiento-de-padron-ribeye-radicchio-okra-greens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=1889","title":{"rendered":"pimiento de padron, ribeye, radicchio, okra, greens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/pimiento_de_padron.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1891\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/pimiento_de_padron.jpg\" alt=\"pimiento_de_padron\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were two courses in the meal we enjoyed last night. \u00a0The\u00a0appetizer\u00a0was a serving of saut\u00e9ed\u00a0<em>pimiento de padron<\/em> from <a href=\"http:\/\/bodhitreefarm.com\/\">Bodhitree Farm<\/a>, finished with a sprinkling of flaky Maldon salt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/ribeye_okra_radicchio_radish_greens.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1892\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/ribeye_okra_radicchio_radish_greens.jpg\" alt=\"ribeye_okra_radicchio_radish_greens\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The main course consisted of\u00a0two really terrific 5-ounce\u00a0ribeye steaks from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dicksonsfarmstand.com\/\">Dixon Farmstand Meats<\/a>, pan-grilled and finished with lemon, lovage (from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.longroadtoatomato.theexperimentpublishing.com\/\">Keith&#8217;s Farm<\/a>), and oil. \u00a0They\u00a0were\u00a0accompanied by both green and purple okra (from Bodhitree Farm,\u00a0like the\u00a0<em>pimiento<\/em>), saut\u00e9ed with red pepper flakes. \u00a0There was also a little\u00a0radicchio, from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tamarackhollowfarm.com\/\">Tamarack Hollow Farm<\/a>, which was quartered, dipped in oil, a bit of balsamic vinegar, and minced garlic, pan-grilled,\u00a0sprinkled with salt, and\u00a0finally\u00a0dressed with some of the reserved balsamic mixture. \u00a0The other <em>contorno<\/em> was a small plate of radish greens from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.norwichmeadowsfarm.com\/\">Norwich Meadow Farms<\/a>, saut\u00e9ed in oil in which a garlic clove had been softened.<\/p>\n<p>The wine with both courses was a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wine-searcher.com\/wine-317009-2012-bodegas-venta-morales-organic-tempranillo-tinto-la-mancha-spain\">Castilla-La Mancha\u00a0Tempranillo, Venta Morales 2012<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There were two courses in the meal we enjoyed last night. \u00a0The\u00a0appetizer\u00a0was a serving of saut\u00e9ed\u00a0pimiento de padron from Bodhitree Farm, finished with a sprinkling of flaky Maldon salt.
