{"id":14234,"date":"2017-09-11T00:52:04","date_gmt":"2017-09-11T00:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=14234"},"modified":"2017-09-11T00:52:04","modified_gmt":"2017-09-11T00:52:04","slug":"late-lunch-of-potato-and-pea-samosas-with-two-chutneys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/?p=14234","title":{"rendered":"late lunch of potato and pea Samosas with two chutneys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14236\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/samosas_chutneys.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The table inside my tiny Indian restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed a little bit of India\u00a0as a late afternoon snack today, thanks to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bombayemeraldchutneyco.com\/info.html\">Bombay Emerald Chutney Company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When I visited\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/foodcurated.com\/2011\/01\/the-next-big-small-brand-finalist-5-nirmala-gupta-of-bombay-emerald-chutney-company\/\">Nirmala Gupta<\/a>&#8216;s stand inside Chelsea\u2019s Down to Earth Farmers Market on 23rd Street yesterday (she&#8217;s only at that location once a month),\u00a0I came away with a couple fresh wrapped R\u00f4ti (<a href=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/2017\/07\/10\/south-indian-breakfast-roti-beet-poriyal-coconut-chutney\/\">which we had enjoyed once before<\/a>) and a package of 4 frozen samosas. The r\u00f4ti,\u00a0which I&#8217;ve frozen, will show up for a Sunday breakfast,\u00a0probably next week; the samosas made it only as far as today&#8217;s lunch table.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>four handmade vegan samosas from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bombayemeraldchutneyco.com\/info.html\">Bombay Emerald Chutney Company<\/a>\u00a0 (ingredients:\u00a0potato, white flour, peas, water, olive and canola oils, salt, red chili, and spices), defrosted, placed inside a small Pampered Chef unglazed ceramic pan, the tops brushed with olive oil, baked 15 minutes inside an oven preheated to 425\u00baF, turned once, and baked for another 15 minutes, allowed to cool a bit before served\u00a0with 2 chutneys, Bombay Emerald Chutney Company&#8217;s Royal Coconut Chutney and Geeta&#8217;s Premium Mango Chutney\u00a0(medium heat)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The table inside my tiny Indian restaurant.
