crookneck squash, shallot, tomato"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13639\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/lamb_chops_crooked_neck_squash.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These excellent chops were asking for a\u00a0wine just\u00a0as excellent, and that&#8217;s what we all enjoyed last night.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>four 5-ounce lamb loin chops,\u00a0grass-fed and organic, from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shannonbrookfarm.com\/\">Shannon Brook Farm<\/a>, located in the beautiful <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Finger_Lakes\">New York Finger\u00a0Lakes<\/a>, dried thoroughly, cooked\u00a0on a very hot enameled cast iron grill pan for a total of 10 or 12 minutes, turning twice, seasoned with sea salt and freshly-ground Tellicherry pepper after the first time, finished with a squeeze of juice from an organic lemon from Whole Foods Market, scattered with some\u00a0chopped rosemary from Keith&#8217;s\u00a0Farm, and drizzled with a little olive oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13640\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/crooked_neck_squash.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>sweet crookneck yellow summer squash from Alewife Farm, cut into 2cm sections, saut\u00e9ed in a little olive oil for a few minutes\u00a0with 2 sliced garlic cloves from Norwich Meadows\u00a0Farm inside a high-sided heavy tin-lined copper pan before\u00a03\u00a0fresh spring shallots from Alewife Farm, halved lengthwise, were added, the pan removed from the flame once the vegetables had begun to caramelize, its contents\u00a0seasoned with sea salt and Freshly-ground Tellicherry pepper, a very few very small red tomatoes from Eckerton Hill Farm\u00a0stirred in with them\u00a0until they had just begun to soften, everything arranged on the plates and garnished with nasturtium flower petals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13647\" src=\"http:\/\/food.hoggardwagner.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Saber_Anonymous.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the wine, a gift from an artist acquaintance, <a href=\"http:\/\/saberone.com\/about\/\">Ryan Weston Shook<\/a>, who had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.1849wine.com\/anonymous-by-1849wineco-red-blend\/\">designed its\u00a0label<\/a> (and that of other wines from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.1849wine.com\/\">the same winemaker<\/a>), was a California (Napa) red, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.1849wine.com\/anonymous-by-1849wineco-red-blend\/\">1849 Wine Company Anonymous Napa Valley Premium Red Wine Blend 2013<\/a>, and it was\u00a0much more than just a pretty label: It was a really wonderful wine and it a perfect pairing with the entr\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<li>the music was the album, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonesuch.com\/albums\/sunrise-of-the-planetary-dream-collector\">&#8216;Sunrise of the Planetary Dream Collector: Music of Terry Riley&#8217;, performed by the Kronos Quartet<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[image of Saber, holding a bottle of &#8216;Anonymous&#8217;
