or just leave it white, like ours this time)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>I love cauliflower in every form, and I&#8217;m equally fond of eggs. \u00a0I&#8217;d been looking for the flowered cabbage in the Greenmarket all summer, but hadn&#8217;t found a small, good-looking head, in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seasonedinthesouth.com\/blog\/uploaded_images\/DSC01858-788257.JPG\">any color<\/a>, until this past weekend. \u00a0As I had on hand some very fresh Greenmarket eggs from <a href=\"http:\/\/v3test.com\/knollkrestfarm\/\">Knoll Krest Farm<\/a> which I didn&#8217;t want to hold onto long, I thought of one of my favorite recipes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>slices of Calabrese salame (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.columbussalame.com\/\">Columbus Salumeria<\/a>, from Trader Joe&#8217;s), served with Greenmarket red dandelion greens dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette along with slices of \u201cWheat Italian Bread\u201d from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildhivefarm.com\/\">Wild Hive Bakery<\/a> in the Greenmarket<\/li>\n<li>cauliflower frittata, made in a 12-inch pan and not flipped (very, very easy: \u00a0see <a href=\"http:\/\/italianfood.about.com\/od\/savoryeggdishes\/r\/blr1539.htm\">recipe<\/a>), including in the saute mix some thinly-sliced stem as well as the torn green pointed leaves tightly enclosing the head, the eggs beaten with a bit of grated Parmigiano from Eataly and added when the vegetable had begun to color, the thin &#8220;omelet&#8221; finished with a sprinkling of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chow.com\/ingredients\/62\">anise hyssop<\/a> blossoms and torn leaves, from <a href=\"http:\/\/search.barnesandnoble.com\/books\/product.aspx?z=y&amp;EAN=9781569243305&amp;itm=1\">Keith\u2019s Farm<\/a> in the Greenmarket<\/li>\n<li>a nibble of Cave-Aged Cheddar from New Jersey\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/shop.cowsoutside.com\/\">Bobolink Dairy<\/a> (Greenmarket), served with thin toasts of the same wheat bread<\/li>\n<li>wine: \u00a0Spanish,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.67wine.com\/sku202181.html\">Naia 2008 Rueda (Verdejo) by Jorge Ordonez, from 67 Wine<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">[image from <a href=\"http:\/\/etc.usf.edu\/clipart\/51200\/51248\/51248_cauliflower.htm\">clipart ETC<\/a> (unfortunately I forgot to record the supplier, and snap an image, while \u00a0I was at the Union Square Greenmarket)]<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>dinner, 10\/18\/10 (color it purple, gold or green &#8211;
